Sprouted Cornbread

Rustic Sprouted Cornbread

Sweet and Savory Cornbread made from our Sprouted Grain Flours

Taste the heartland with this cornbread made from our grains grown, sprouted and stone ground on our family farm in Marysville, Ohio

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Rustic Sprouted Cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup Rustic Sprouted Whole Wheat Flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 whole eggs - beaten
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400 deg F.  Mix flours with baking powder, salt and sugar until well combined.  Add beaten eggs, milk and melted butter to dry ingredients and mix until flour is moistened and incorporated. 
  2. Pour into a greased 9x9 pan and bake for 25 min, until top is golden brown and bread pulls away from the side of the dish.  Allow to rest in the pan after baking for 5 minutes before slicing.  Serve warm.  Enjoy!
